Breaking News, Fatal accident, leaving 19 people dead on the outskirts of!

On Wednesday, November 20, a trailer lost control on one of Mexico’s busiest highways, triggering a series of collisions that brought traffic to a standstill. The crash occurred at kilometer 59 near Huehuetoca in the State of Mexico, leaving the north–south lanes partially closed for hours and causing traffic delays stretching for miles.

Authorities reported that the heavy trailer failed to brake before reaching the Jorobas intersection. In its uncontrolled descent, it struck a roadside bank and then collided with five cars and a pickup truck. The trailer ended up sprawled across all three lanes, forcing police to close sections of the highway and redirect vehicles.

Preliminary reports indicate that wet road conditions played a significant role. Earlier rainfall had left the pavement slick, reducing traction and making braking difficult. Witnesses claimed the trailer was moving too fast for the conditions, leaving the driver with little room for error. Investigators are examining whether mechanical failure, driver fatigue, or negligence contributed to the incident.

Emergency crews arrived within minutes. Several people sustained minor injuries, but miraculously, no fatalities were reported. Paramedics urged some victims to seek further evaluation to rule out hidden complications like whiplash or internal injuries. Fuel leaks from the wreckage added danger, requiring careful handling to prevent fire, while long backups formed as traffic ground to a halt.

But this wasn’t the only highway nightmare that day. Later, near kilometer 95.5 at Soyaniquilpan de Juárez, a tanker spilled fuel across the road, forcing authorities to close all lanes. Hazmat teams rushed to contain the spill and prevent environmental hazards, leaving thousands stranded for hours.
