Her former father-in-law, Tim Macklin Sr., spoke with NBC about their longstanding connection. He recalled Renee as “a great person” who stayed in touch after separating from his son, Tim Macklin Jr., who passed away in 2023 at age 36. Renee often brought their shared 6-year-old son to visit, he said, and her death has been “really hard” on the family.
