I sat quietly at Table 28, my face serene, my thoughts steady. The arrogance in her voice, the self-congratulating tone — it wasn’t new. But this time, she had gone too far. Margaret had not only dismissed my team’s hard work but also crossed a line written clearly into our agreement.

As the applause swelled, I reached for my phone and typed a single message: “Initiate Section 12b.”

The response was instant, almost invisible to the untrained eye. My staff, seasoned professionals, began to move with quiet precision.
