Horrific details emerge of alleged mistreatment of Greta Thunberg while detained in Israel!

Environmental activist Greta Thunberg has claimed she was mistreated while in Israeli custody after her detention during the interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian mission attempting to deliver aid to Gaza. The 22-year-old Swedish activist was reportedly removed along with dozens of other passengers when Israeli naval forces seized the convoy in international waters.

According to reports from Swedish diplomats, Thunberg was reportedly dehydrated, underfed, and had developed rashes believed to be caused by bedbugs. An embassy note described her as having endured long periods seated on hard surfaces and “harsh treatment,” prompting concern for her welfare.

Thunberg was among approximately 70 activists detained, including parliamentarians, lawyers, and human rights observers. Lawyers representing the detainees claimed that basic necessities like food, water, and medical care were inadequately provided. Witnesses described humiliating treatment, including Thunberg being paraded and photographed during processing, sparking outrage from human rights advocates.

The flotilla, organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, aimed to challenge Israel’s blockade of Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid. Previous missions have also faced interception, highlighting the ongoing tension between activists and Israeli authorities over access to Gaza.
