Harrison Ford Blasts Donald Trump Over Climate Policies

Hollywood icon Harrison Ford, celebrated for his unforgettable portrayals of Indiana Jones and Han Solo, has once again made headlines — this time for his sharp criticism of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s approach to climate change. Ford, a lifelong advocate for environmental protection, has spent more than three decades fighting to raise global awareness about the planet’s deteriorating condition.

Since the early 1990s, the veteran actor has served as vice-chair of Conservation International, a leading nonprofit dedicated to preserving the Earth’s natural resources and biodiversity. Through this role, Ford has championed initiatives to combat deforestation, protect marine ecosystems, and safeguard endangered wildlife. His environmental mission has also included collaborations with organizations such as EarthShare and appearances at major international gatherings like the United Nations Climate Action Summit.

Ford’s environmental advocacy is rooted in his belief that science and leadership must work hand in hand to address the worsening climate crisis. He has repeatedly emphasized that education, philanthropy, and policy reform are crucial to driving real, lasting change.

The actor’s activism has often intersected with his political views. A registered Democrat, Ford has supported candidates who prioritize climate action, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. During the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Ford joined forces with Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill in partnership with The Lincoln Project — a group of Republicans opposing Trump — to produce campaign messages calling attention to what they viewed as the administration’s environmental failures.

In a recent interview, Ford delivered one of his strongest condemnations yet of Trump’s environmental record. Speaking candidly, he said, “[Trump] doesn’t have any policies; he has whims. It scares the s**t out of me.” His blunt remarks underscored the actor’s frustration over what he perceives as dangerous neglect of scientific truth and responsible governance.
