Attorney General Pam Bondi has emphasized a “zero tolerance” approach for assaults on federal officers. She warned that anyone who harms federal personnel will face severe legal consequences. Bondi also stated that the Department of Justice would pursue the “most serious available charges” against participants in these violent incidents and treat them as potential domestic terrorism. “The rule of law will prevail,” she said, highlighting the administration’s determination to curb political violence.
White House Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller described the attacks as “domestic terrorist sedition against the federal government” and affirmed that all available resources would be deployed to stop these campaigns of violence. He praised the ongoing crackdown, declaring, “This campaign of terrorism will be brought down.”
High-profile incidents in recent weeks underscore the growing threat to ICE personnel. In Portland, three women were indicted for stalking an ICE agent and broadcasting their home address online. In Texas, a suspected sniper attack on an ICE facility left multiple migrants injured, with a bullet at the scene bearing anti-ICE markings. These events have prompted federal and local authorities to coordinate closely with Joint Terrorism Task Forces to prevent further attacks.
As protests continue, the federal government is taking an increasingly forceful stance to protect ICE officers and facilities. Officials have made clear that violent actions against federal personnel will not be tolerated, signaling a sustained and aggressive response to domestic unrest.
