Evidence and Investigation Details Emerge

Authorities confirmed that Robinson is being held under “special watch” in Utah County’s Sheriff Department for close monitoring of his mental health. The suspect was apprehended after a 33-hour manhunt, following a tip from his father, who recognized him from FBI surveillance images. Before turning himself in, Robinson reportedly told his father he intended to harm himself.

BI Director Kash Patel revealed that text messages between Robinson and a friend indicated premeditation, with the suspect stating he had a chance to “take out Charlie Kirk” and planned to do so. DNA evidence has linked Robinson to the crime scene, including DNA found on a screwdriver left on a rooftop and on a towel wrapped around a rifle used in the attack.

Governor Cox emphasized that while Robinson remains uncooperative, the cooperation of his family and partner is crucial to the ongoing investigation. Authorities continue to piece together the full circumstances behind the shooting, including potential motives and the role social media may have played in influencing Robinson’s actions.
