Spider-Man Star Injured on Set

Tom Holland, the 29-year-old actor known for his daring portrayal of Spider-Man, faced a real-life mishap on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. On Friday, September 19, 2025, during filming at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England, Holland reportedly suffered a head injury while performing a stunt. A female stunt double was also hurt in the same scene. Both were quickly transported to the hospital after emergency services arrived on the scene.

The East of England Ambulance Service confirmed their response: “We were called at 10:30 a.m. on Friday to attend to a patient who had sustained an injury at Leavesden Studios in Watford. An ambulance was sent to the scene, and the patient was transported to hospital for further care.” Production on the film was immediately paused, and the shutdown could last weeks while Holland recovers and safety evaluations continue.

Holland had been seen days earlier at a charity dinner in London with his father, comedian Dominic Holland, and his fiancée, Zendaya. Reports say he left the event early due to feeling unwell, raising questions about whether he had experienced symptoms prior to the accident. Sources indicate he likely suffered a concussion after a fall from height during a stunt sequence, with medical teams monitoring him closely for a full recovery before he returns to work.

The incident has sparked concerns about on-set safety protocols. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have yet to comment officially, and some are calling for a formal investigation by the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Earlier this year, the production had relocated filming from Liverpool to Glasgow after a public incident injured over 100 people, highlighting the importance of safety in large-scale shoots.
