In the late 1990s and 2000s, Christopher focused on steady work in TV, direct-to-video films, and independent projects. He appeared in Bullet Down Under (1994), Trigger Fast, and a variety of other roles, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to acting. After divorcing Lyn Barron in 2007, he described himself as a serial monogamist, maintaining long-term relationships while staying grounded.

At age 47, he appeared on VH1’s reality show Confessions of a Teen Idol, proudly celebrating 22 years of sobriety and reflecting on his past. Alongside acting, Christopher developed a passion for designing luxury swimming pools, often inspired by the lagoon theme of his breakout film.

By the 2010s, he continued to balance pool building with acting, appearing in indie films like Forget Me Not (2009), Sedona (2011), and later returning to Blue Lagoon with The Awakening (2012). He also worked on family and faith-based projects, including The Sparrows: Nesting (2014), and maintained steady television appearances in shows like CSI: Miami. Recent credits include Lake of Fire (2020) and Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas (2023), with more projects in development.

Beyond acting, Christopher has explored producing and writing, with ambitions to direct in the future. Yet his proudest role is being a grandfather. By 2021, he had three grandsons, enjoying adventures like camping and fishing.
